                <text>Arqueológicamente, la trompeta tiene algunas fuentes gráficas que no dejan lugar a dudas. Entre estas, se encuentran los frescos plasmados en las estructuras, vasijas, códices y figurillas como el famoso trompetero de Jaina en el Museo de Antropología de México, del periodo Clásico, y el niño trompetero de la Colección Stavenhagen procedente de Teotihuacan. La trompeta también aparece en el arte mural de nuestra región y, sin lugar a dudas, el más representativo es el de Bonampak, ya que en los murales de la Estructura 1 aparecen escenas que dentro de un contexto de guerra, presentan músicos y danzantes; entre ellos, algunos que tocan trompetas.</text>

                <text>Esta ponencia hace referencia a algunos tipos de silbatos encontrados en la Costa Sur del departamento de Santa Rosa, Guatemala, teniendo conocimiento que tanto en el departamento de Jutiapa, como en algunas áreas de la Costa Sur de El Salvador, también se han encontrado. Este pequeño informe sobre silbatos de la Costa Sur del departamento de Santa Rosa se concreta a dar información sobre la gran variedad y cantidad de silbatos de esa área, dando algunas descripciones simples y medidas de estos. Otro motivo de esta síntesis es dar a conocer lo que se pudo observar en la época del auge de la siembra del algodón en estas tierras del sur del departamento de Santa Rosa, y se presenta este informe para que los arqueólogos tengan una referencia sobre los tipos de silbatos, con cuya procedencia el autor está bien familiarizado.</text>
