El último de los proyectos que hemos impulsado tiene que ver con la aplicación de las nuevas tecnologías a la visibilidad y la difusión de los resultados de investigación. Se trata de uno de los retos que la sociedad de la información nos ha lanzado a los humanistas, ya que en la difusión de los resultados de nuestras investigaciones, en la difusión y divulgación del conocimiento, está precisamente uno de los puntos fuertes de la transferencia de las Humanidades hacia la sociedad en general.  El presente trabajo reúne iniciativas, proyectos y experiencias interesantes en los diferentes planos de este amplio contexto de la visibilidad y la difusión de la investigación en el ámbito de las Humanidades. El desarrollo de dicho Plan garantizará a todos los ciudadanos la igualdad de oportunidades para el acceso al libro y la lectura, superando las barreras físicas, psíquicas, sensoriales o lingüísticas. Para su puesta en marcha se establecen seis Propuestas Ejecutivas, una de las cuales es el desarrollo de los servicios que acercan la lectura al ciudadano. Como una parte importante de estos servicios, el Plan Regional apuesta por un desarrollo en profundidad de los Servicios de Extensión Bibliotecaria.
