Este compendio expone reveladora e incisivamente los aspectos políticos, sociales, legales y económicos detrás de estas cuestiones. La facilidad con que los medios digitales permiten producir, distribuir y acceder a la cultura abre un abanico de posibilidades para su democratización y, a la vez, plantea una serie de fricciones con la legislación vigente. Propiedad intelectual, nuevas tecnologías y libre acceso a la cultura provee al lector de un marco de discusión plural en tanto que acoge posturas diversas (de abogados, artistas, activistas) como encontradas (a favor y en contra de la legislación actual) para posicionarse en este debate.
