                <text>Esta obra es el resultado de trabajo desarrollado por el seminario permanente de Bibliotecología Información y Sociedad en la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, en el marco del XIII Congreso de la Sociedad Latinoamericana de Estudios sobre América Latina y el Caribe (solar), realizado en el mes de septiembre de 2012, y cuya convocatoria llevó el tema general de “Educación y cultura en la integración latinoamericana: retos del siglo XXI”. El simposio en el cual nos tocó participar, “Regulaciones que impactan la infodiversidad y el acceso abierto a la información en la sociedad global y multicultural”, formó parte del área temática Redes de Infodiversidad. Contó con la participación de sus integrantes habituales, así como de especialistas invitados, tanto de México como de otros países. Tomando en cuenta un escenario en el cual existen cada vez más defensores del acceso abierto a la información, sin tantas barreras financieras, legales o técnicas, han surgido de manera natural las regulaciones para un uso justo de esa información, en un contexto en el cual privan fenómenos como la globalización y la multiculturalidad. Las discusiones y análisis de nuestro seminario, en esta ocasión, se encargaron de bordear esa temática desde diferentes aristas.</text>
