Se trata de materiales especialmente elaborados para atender a las necesidades específicas de la formación de formadores en el contexto regional. Por lo tanto, son el producto de un significativo esfuerzo colectivo, y asumen el reto de perseverar en la búsqueda de la mejora de la calidad de la educación en la Región Centroamericana. Esto implica promover cambios en la conceptualización y en el ejercicio de la función de los directores de escuela, considerando modelos educativos que favorezcan un liderazgo pedagógico y participativo que potencien líderes dinamizadores capaces de implementar prácticas educativas innovadoras, y que incorporen un perfil más profesional acorde con la realidad actual. Para avanzar hacia el logro de estos objetivos, se ha previsto la producción de nuevos módulos relacionados con el fortalecimiento de la gestión escolar (en particular en relación con los procesos de planificación del currículo en el aula), el asesoramiento pedagógico y la gestión administrativa.
