Sin embargo, las controversias siguen, aunque por supuesto- cambiaron de interlocutores y de temática. Ya no se trata de discutir si la evolución ocurre o no sino cómo ocurre. Esta discusión, lejos de reflejar la decrepitud de una teoría tambaleante, muestra la fertilidad del paradigma evolutivo que un siglo y medio después le puede dar la bienvenida a nuevos enfoques y hallazgos.
