La tesis que se maneja es que a éste pensador lo hace actual el hecho de que su escritura de posguerra reflexiona en torno al habitar coligado con el pensar y el construir. En las búsquedas del habitar hoy en Colombia se hace urgente, como bien se refleja en este texto, pensar la guerra para habitar la guerra, que no es otra cosa que decir: tomar el tiempo para pensar en un tiempo que da qué pensar.</text>
